Your clipboard has a memory.
Windows tip
Press Windows + V and choose Turn on to enable clipboard history. Now choose an older copied item instead of hunting it down again. Don't put passwords or other secrets in clipboard history; leave cross-device sync off unless you want those items synced.
Safety recommendation: keep secrets out of clipboard history. Cross-device sync is a separate choice.
