Privacy Policy

Privacy information for rackcrunch.com. Last updated 2026-11-04.

Current data practices

Most RACKCRUNCH tools run entirely in your browser. There are no accounts. RACKCRUNCH does not set cookies of its own. Google may set cookies for ads on calculator pages, as described under Advertising below. Google Analytics collection is currently paused.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see how fast pages load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not fingerprint you or follow you across other sites. It records the page you visited, the site that linked you here, your country, and your browser, device type, and operating system. Cloudflare receives your IP address as part of the normal connection and discards it rather than storing it for analytics. We only see totals, never individual visitors. See Cloudflare's explanation.

Google Analytics 4 collection is currently paused on RACKCRUNCH. The site does not load its analytics script or send Google Analytics events while collection is paused. Cloudflare Web Analytics remains active as described above. This pause does not change the advertising practices described below.

Tools that use our server

Four tools send what you type to our server: the SSL Certificate Expiry Checker, the Security Header Check, the DNS Lookup, and the SPF/DMARC Checker. They send the domain name (or, for a reverse DNS lookup, the IP address) so the server can run the check. The application does not save it. Your IP address is held in memory for about a minute to enforce a rate limit. Standard hosting request logs (below) may include the request.

Advertising

Most calculator pages show up to two Google AdSense placements; some tools and directory pages show fewer or none.

Google and its partners may show you personalized ads. To do this they use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser, and they may build a profile of your interests from your visits to this and other websites. They also use this data to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ads, and to prevent fraud and abuse.

When a page with ads loads, Google receives the address of the page, your IP address and details about your browser. Calculator share links can put values in the address (after a ?). Those values are only structured values such as numbers, IP addresses, hostnames and menu choices, never free text you type (commands, environment variables, names or passwords). Ads do not load while the address holds any such values, so Google does not receive them.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google first. If you do not consent, Google will not show you personalized ads. You can change your choice later from the privacy settings link the message adds to the page.

Visitors in some US states, including California, can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for advertising through the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link that Google's message adds to the page.

You can turn off personalized ads from Google at My Ad Center. You can opt out of personalized ads from many other ad companies at aboutads.info (US) or Your Online Choices (Europe).

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner-sites policy, and how Google uses cookies in advertising at Google's advertising page.

Server logs

Our hosting and DNS providers may process standard connection data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps for delivery, reliability, and security.
