In the data above, ESXi 7.0 reached the end of general support on 2025-10-02. ESXi 8.0 is supported until 2027-10-11, ESXi 9.0 until 2027-09-17 and ESXi 9.1 until 2028-08-12. Note that 9.0 ends about a month before 8.0, so moving from 8.0 to 9.0 buys no extra time; 9.1 is the version with the longest window today.
Hosts still on 7.0 or earlier are already past general support. Moving them is a planning job, not just a patch: check hardware against the vendor's compatibility guide, confirm vCenter is on a version that can manage the new ESXi, and make sure backup and monitoring tools support it.
